CELL ORGANELLES AND THEIR FUNCTIONS:

 CELL ORGANELLES AND THEIR FUNCTIONS:-

WILLIAM HARWAY FATHER OF PHYSIOLOGY

-physiology study of normal functioning of human body

cell:-structural and functional unit of life /living organism.

1)plasma membranes:-

-made of phospholipid bilayer

-it forms the boundary.

protects the cellorganell

-selectively semi -permeable membrane which allow molecule to pass through it.

surface area for all biochemical reaction.

-simple diffusion.

-2)nucleus:-

forms the cell center.

-center for all metabolic activation.

-cell division and multiplication of cell.

-all cells have nuclease except RBC

-carries the hereditary material from parent.

-RNA processing within the nuclease

lysosome:-

called as suicide bag(self destruct)

-in phagocytosis ,it take part in digestion by releasing lytic enzyme from lysosome ,breaks down the protein.

-in tadpole the  tail is discarded due to the presence of lysosome

-old senile cell(dead cell)acted by lysosome.

-pathogens are discarded.

ribosome:-

site of protein synthesis.

-ER attached ribosome sent out synthesized protein by exocytosis.

-free ribosome take part in protein synthesis ,remains in the cell.

endoplasmic retinaculum:-

forms of network of  membrane  and canals cisternae all together form ER.

-ER connects the cell membrane to the nucleas and it forms a intracellular transport system.

-increases the surface area for  biochemical reaction.

-increases forms temporary storage for synthesized proteins and lipid.

-it gives mechanical support for cell.

mitochondria:-

power house of the cell.

-undergo oxidation of glucose ,aminoacidic fats to release ATP and it is stored

centrioles:-

consist of microtubules and microfilaments.

during  cell division it forms spine fiber

-in neuron it help in axonal transport.

Golgi complex:-

it is a part of endoplasmic retinaculum

-made of flattened membrane.

functions-sorting packing ,production of the and delivery to  the cell by exocytosis.
