bleeding time and clotting factor and disorders

 bleeding time;-it is the time  interval between  the onset of blood flow from the injured part till the stoppage of  bleeding / spontaneous stoppage of bleeding

normal bleeding time---2-4 min

clotting time  -it is the time interval between the onset of blood flow from the injured part till the appearance /formation of fibrin thread

normal clotting time - 3-8 min


disorders :-

hemophilia viii

hemophilia ix

sex linked disorder -females are the carriers  and males are affected by  it. due to cris -cross inheritance

clotting time increases upto 120 min bleeding time remains normal 


-thrombocytopenia: platelet count reduces bt time increases  ct time remains normal

thrombocytopenia purpura-purpuric spot on the skin appear due to subcutaneous bleeding because of fragile capillaries

von willbrand disease:-absence of vonwillbrand factor
