ABO SYSTEM-

1)antigen / agglutinogen present on the

rbc cell membrane

2)agglutinin /antibody present in rbc cell membrane

landstener's law :-its state that if agglutinogen is present on the cell membrane its corresponding agglutinin should be absent in plasma.

1st found out in rhesus monkey in 1941

-depending on the presence of antigen /antibody determined

in india rh + is more

Agglutinin is mostly absent

-formed during following condition-erythroblast fetalis.
