condition :-mother is Rh -ve and foetus  is RH+ in first pregnancy's there is no problem, but problem arises in subsequent pregnancy if the foetus is Rh+

in second pregnancy since mother has antibody lies already produces the antigen and which is antibody reaction leads to hemolysis-leads to jaundice -leads to kernicterus anemia-erythroblast increase in circulation

precaution:-within 72 hour anti d injection should be given after the 1st delivery 

significance;-identity of individual, genetic study,used in anthropological studies, parental dispute.
