in human beings olfaction is poorly developed .

-primary odour -floral,musky,etheral,putrid,camphoral,pungent.

-The nerve fiber from recepter cell from olfactory nerve which pierces through cribriform palate of ethmoid bone and enters the brain tissue.
-it form the olfactory bulb which has the tuff cells and mitral cells forming multiple synapse nerve of glomerulus .
-from the olfactory bulb arises the olfactory tract .
-olfactory tract branches is two, one is lateral olfactory tract which terminates in olfactory cortex.
